About the position

We are seeking a skilled Visual Designer to join our team in New York, New York, within the Investment Advisory industry. This long-term contract position focuses on translating complex financial data into compelling visual content across various platforms, enhancing brand awareness through high-quality designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop visual content for sales decks, websites, and other collateral, ensuring all designs are aligned with brand guidelines.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop, to create and edit designs.
• Apply knowledge and experience in financial services, fintech, economics publishing/media, or non-profit to create industry-specific visuals.
• Translate complex financial data into compelling, easy-to-understand visual content.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance brand awareness through consistent and high-quality visual designs.
• Ensure all designs adhere to AP Style guidelines.
• Utilize AutoCAD for specific design tasks as needed.
• Create visually appealing advertisements to promote the company's services.
• Use your drawing skills to create original illustrations and graphics.
• Continually update and improve digital designs based on feedback and industry trends.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop is mandatory.
• Experience with AutoCAD is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable ability to create compelling advertisements.
• Familiarity with AP Style guidelines is essential.
• Must be capable of contributing to brand awareness strategies.
• Proficiency in digital design is required.
• Excellent drawing skills are a must-have.
• Prior experience in the Investment Advisory industry is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of visual design principles and techniques.
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to collaborative ideas.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A portfolio demonstrating your design skills and creativity is required.
