About the position

The Visual Designer at KUBRA plays a crucial role in supporting the Product Development and Service Delivery teams by focusing on user experience and interface design for various customer products and mobile applications. This position is hybrid, based in Tempe, AZ, and involves managing multiple design projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly designs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple design projects for the Product Development and Service Delivery teams, including utility maps, automated messaging, and mobile apps.
  • Create visually stunning designs and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and create effective design solutions.
  • Utilize design tools and methodologies to execute design projects, creating graphics, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Iterate based on feedback and stay updated on design trends for excellence.
  • Advocate for user-centered design, aligning design decisions with user needs and business goals.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to drive the creation of user-friendly products.
  • Update or create icons and interfaces to meet client requirements.
  • Create interesting and visually appealing interfaces for mobile applications.
  • Work closely with Project Managers on ad hoc tasks and projects.
  • Contribute to a design that emphasizes KUBRA's mission, vision, guiding principles, and values.
  • Maintain and enforce quality and service standards; analyze and resolve issues; identify trends; recommend improvements.
  • May assist or collaborate with the Marketing team.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of design experience.
  • Familiarity with or preference for Apple Operating System and hardware.
  • Experience designing websites, user interfaces, or software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools, like Figma, Framer, InVision, or similar; Figma preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
  • Team player capable of collaborating effectively with co-workers and clients.
