About the position

The Visual Designer position at Robert Half is a short-term contract role focused on creating and refining visual designs across digital and print media platforms. The role emphasizes collaboration within a dynamic team environment to produce engaging and visually appealing designs that align with brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Creating and refining visual concepts using software or hand-drawn techniques for various platforms, including social media, web, and print
• Designing, executing, and refining 2D animations
• Developing and designing layouts for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and more, including the selection of colors, images, typefaces, and other elements
• Presenting design concepts and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Incorporating feedback from clients or art directors to make necessary changes to designs
• Reviewing designs for errors and making necessary corrections before finalizing for publishing or printing
• Assisting in the creation of social media posts, ensuring they align with brand guidelines
• Utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and AutoCAD proficiently in daily tasks
• Contributing to brand awareness through thoughtful and impactful design
• Utilizing drawing skills to create original images and illustrations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to create compelling advertisements
• Knowledge of AP Style guidelines
• Understanding of brand awareness strategies
• Digital design expertise
• Strong drawing skills
• Ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Creativity and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of current design trends and techniques
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field preferred
• Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial.
