About the position

The Visual Designer position at the IT Project Management Office (PMO) in Atlanta, GA, is a full-time role focused on establishing a cohesive branding identity for the team. The designer will create visual materials that reflect the team's expertise and innovation, ensuring consistency across various communication channels. This role is crucial for supporting change management strategies through effective visual aids and templates.

Responsibilities

  • Create a visually appealing and consistent branding identity that aligns with the team's values and DWM's branding guidelines.
  • Develop branding elements such as color schemes, typography, logo usage, and graphical motifs to be integrated across all PMO materials.
  • Design and develop customizable presentation templates for project updates, pitches, and internal communications.
  • Create templates for stakeholder weekly/monthly reports that are visually engaging and streamline communication of project progress.
  • Design meeting minutes templates and new project intake forms that are user-friendly and aligned with the branding identity.
  • Create visual aids that support change management strategies, including infographics and process diagrams.
  • Develop email banners and other communication materials that reinforce the team's brand identity.
  • Work closely with project managers, executives, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback to continuously improve the effectiveness and appeal of the PMO's visual materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in visual design, branding, or a related role, preferably within a corporate or IT environment.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and the ability to create cohesive visual identities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
