About the position

The Visual Designer will join a large Print and PC company to work on an application that supports hardware products. This role focuses on creating high fidelity prototypes from wireframes provided by Interaction Designers, aiming to develop dynamic user interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly. The designer will collaborate closely with software teams to ensure design consistency and quality, while also providing leadership and mentoring to junior staff. The position emphasizes innovation and the integration of new technologies into design projects.

Responsibilities

• Create high fidelity prototypes from wireframes provided by Interaction Designers.
• Develop dynamic user interfaces that are effective and intuitive for consumers.
• Work with spacing, layouts, colors, typography, iconography, graphics, and illustrations to enhance user experience.
• Define and create the overall look and feel for the product.
• Quickly create high fidelity mock-ups that are simple, elegant, and technically feasible.
• Collaborate with the software team to create strong prototype options and resolve design inconsistencies.
• Understand design requirements and execute high-quality interactive/static design deliverables with detailed specifications.
• Review and evaluate user interfaces for compliance with visual design guidelines and provide feedback to improve product quality.
• Provide visual design leadership and expertise to cross-organization projects.
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into design projects.
• Mentor less-experienced staff members.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience as a Software UI Visual Designer focused on ecommerce software applications.
• Strong visual standards and a good sense of color, scale, harmony, balance, and use of negative space.
• Deep experience with user-centered design principles, methodologies, and user research.
• Skills in motion graphics, illustration, print production, presentations, concept creation, and data visualization.
• Strong skills in creative design tools, particularly Figma (mandatory), Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to prototype using Figma or equivalent tools.
• In-depth understanding of mobile and desktop design standards and patterns.
• In-depth understanding of Design Systems and their development and maintenance.
