About the position

The Visual Designer will be responsible for creating graphic elements to update and refresh existing web pages, as well as building new web pages and micro sites from scratch in accordance with company style guidelines. This role involves multimedia design, requiring a strong web design background and proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, HTML, and Flash. The designer will also manage day-to-day site maintenance and contribute to organizational engagement through captivating content and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Create graphic elements to update and refresh existing web pages.
• Apply company style guidelines to build web pages from scratch.
• Create micro web sites/landing pages for online promotions.
• Perform basic web production tasks associated with day-to-day site maintenance.
• Uphold global brand standards while creating multimedia assets.
• Partner with leadership to develop multimedia presentations.
• Combine art and technology to visually communicate ideas.
• Own the multimedia design process from concept to completion.
• Advise clients on strategies to engage particular audiences.
• Contribute to organizational engagement through content copywriting.
• Create artistically interesting multimedia that appeals to clients and audiences.
• Protect and preserve highly confidential presentation materials.
• Manage multiple priorities with competing timelines.
• Encourage the evolution of the organization's storytelling and content strategy.
• Conduct research and development to enhance communications/design processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a communications-related role or a professional portfolio demonstrating creativity and originality.
• Experience with design software such as Photoshop, HTML, and Flash.
• Ability to apply an analytical perspective to examine design perceptions and ensure effective communication of the client's message.
• Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of leadership, including senior executives.
• High-energy, fast-learner, and flexible to manage requirements across multiple projects and teams.
