The Visual Experience Designer will be responsible for conceiving visual design solutions for complex product initiatives, focusing on composition, typography, and interaction models. This role requires the designer to keep deliverables engaging and aligned with the brand while driving cross-channel projects. The designer will develop a project execution plan and deployment schedule, implementing UX design projects that range from moderate to complex in scope. The position involves resolving complex design problems and working independently with limited guidance on projects that have significant impact. The designer will develop and recommend comprehensive visual design solutions and conceive a visual experience design strategy that optimizes user experience through the creation of visually appealing, on-brand compositions. This role allows for considerable latitude in influencing team members and business partners, emphasizing the importance of designing with the end user in mind. Collaboration with project teams to define the visual identity is essential, as is the ability to define user experience goals through visual engagement. Operating within the appropriate Design Thinking methodology based on product, channel, audience, and application requirements is crucial. The designer will create and apply visual design styles and best practices, including composition, color theory, accessibility, and typography, guiding the team in their application through the creation of style guides. Prototyping for testing to ensure designs meet business and user objectives is a key responsibility, as is acting as a subject matter expert for design inspiration. The designer will also recommend user experience improvement opportunities and ensure that design solutions remain engaging to customers. Additionally, the designer will act as a stakeholder in user acceptance testing to verify the final execution of products in the development stage. Managing multiple projects under tight deadlines across various product categories and audiences is expected, along with proactively identifying and addressing user experience or design issues to keep projects on track to meet interim milestones.
