About the position

The Visual/Graphic Designer position in Fort Worth, TX, is a hybrid role focused on enhancing user experience for customer and employee-facing applications. The designer will work within a multidisciplinary UX team, influencing product and design decisions while managing projects from inception through development. This role requires a strong background in UX research, design, content, and information architecture, with a focus on creating intuitive experiences for complex applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams using agile methods to define user stories and UX deliverables.
  • Influence outcomes and product owner decisions based on UX best practices, design principles, and research.
  • Collaborate with developers to find effective and efficient implementation solutions.
  • Collect, analyze, present, and action feedback, managing changes to deliverables.
  • Present work clearly and compellingly to stakeholders.
  • Provide timely status updates on all products, including work left to do, issues, and risks.
  • Design the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences.
  • Contribute to and adhere to the patterns of a given design system.
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
  • Advocate for the user and collaborate with business owners to develop features and flows that align with user needs.
  • Gather and translate rules and assets into UX systems, programs, and enterprise solutions.
  • Prepare, manage, update, and distribute UX documentation such as navigational flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and task flows.
  • Create research strategies and develop usability test plans, scripts, and scenarios for prototypes.
  • Conduct usability studies and user interviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Visual Design, Library Sciences, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a UX practitioner with a background in user experience design or interaction design.
  • Strong skills in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe CC, etc.).
  • Experience working closely with developers in an agile environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills for complex data problems and sustainable solutions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and geographical boundaries.
  • Knowledge of remote unmoderated testing tools and moderated testing devices.
  • In-depth understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and web/app design trends.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing complex applications.

Nice-to-haves
