About the position

ECS is seeking a Visual/Graphics Designer to work in our Washington, DC office. The role involves recommending, creating, and maintaining digital media products to effectively communicate with various enterprise audiences. The designer will assist technical subject matter experts in visual design for mission-critical program objectives and will be responsible for translating complex data into accessible narratives for stakeholders in the cybersecurity program.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend, create, and maintain digital media products including info-graphics, presentation visuals, newsletters, posters, and animated videos.
  • Assist technical SMEs in visual design for mission-critical program objectives.
  • Visualize data in innovative ways to translate complex data and topics into accessible narratives for cybersecurity program stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain design layouts and templates that translate across mediums, including presentations, white papers, reports, and other visual communications.
  • Provide Senior Leadership with graphic development and support for print and digital communication products aimed outside of OCIO EISS.
  • Provide graphic development and support for sectional ad hoc marketing, policy, and guidance materials using Microsoft and Adobe products.
  • Support during the Tabletop Exercise by providing printed and digital documentation to facilitate communication between participants.

Requirements

  • Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI / CI-Poly if needed.
  • 3+ years of experience with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
  • Ability to take concepts and ideas and create visual representations in both print and electronic media.
  • Expert knowledge of current design software and principles of design.
  • Experience with every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable.
  • Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough understanding of branding and marketing, able to develop designs within the established style guide.
  • General understanding of cybersecurity standards.
