About the position

The position involves collaborating with marketing and graphics professionals to create compelling graphical representations of engineering concepts. The role requires converting verbal and written descriptions into clear visuals, initially focusing on static images and potentially expanding to interactive and motion graphics. The candidate will work closely with technical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to meet business objectives while maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to brainstorm and strategize an approach to illustrations that effectively communicate ideas.
  • Meet business objectives and tight deadlines while upholding visual and verbal brand standards.
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure designs meet organizational standards and accurately express ideas.
  • Foster effective and collaborative working relationships with senior technical team and Communications, Marketing, and Business Development teams.
  • Update and maintain various databases.
  • Monitor work by clients and competitors to ensure continued leadership in graphical innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree +5 years of graphic design experience, preferably within a professional services, publishing, or technical or scientific setting.
  • AEC experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, juggling multiple assignments with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Initiative-driven and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • Flexible, curious, conscientious, and committed to going the extra mile with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Maintain an interest in the industry through continued learning and subject matter expertise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different styles.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft and Adobe design suites; familiarity with OpenAsset and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
