About the position

The Visual Instruction Designer role involves analyzing digital design data and creating accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs) to support manufacturing and installation processes. The position requires the use of computer-aided design tools and collaboration with management to address project issues and ensure productivity and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze digital design data to create quality Visual Work Instructions (VWIs).
  • Interpret and add design elements to VWIs to meet manufacturing and installation requirements.
  • Utilize computer-aided design equipment and graphic tools such as Teamcenter, NX, SAP, NGP, and TDP.
  • Advise management on the status of work in progress and potential production problems.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity and quality goals.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or other 2-year technical degree in a related discipline.
  • 1 year of related experience in visual instruction design.
  • 3D work experience with software such as NX, Inventor, Shipworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Piping design experience and shipbuilding knowledge.
