About the position

As a Visual Marketing Designer at Capital Group, you will be an integral part of the Public Private Solutions Marketing team, which is dedicated to launching innovative products into the market. Your primary responsibility will be to craft omni-channel marketing experiences that not only enhance our brand but also foster a deep emotional connection with our clients, ultimately creating a new category in the industry. You will collaborate closely with a highly creative team, participating in design team events, critiques, and meetings that will enrich your design process. This process will involve ideation, co-creation, and the iterative refinement of designs, all aimed at producing visually striking and on-brand deliverables. Your work will be guided by Design Thinking principles, emphasizing user-centered design. You will play a pivotal role in creating work that integrates seamlessly across various platforms, including print and digital media. This encompasses a wide range of creative deliverables such as display ads, email graphics, social media assets, printed literature, brochures, print ads, landing pages, presentations, and more. This position offers you the opportunity to unleash your creative passion while utilizing your visual communication skills and a profound understanding of design principles. A keen interest in applying your design expertise within the FinTech and Investment Management industry is essential, as you will be working closely with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Brand, and Business on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Craft omni-channel marketing experiences that enhance the brand and foster emotional connections with clients.
  • Collaborate with a creative team in design events, critiques, and meetings.
  • Engage in ideation, co-creation, and iterative refinement of designs.
  • Produce visually striking and on-brand deliverables across print and digital platforms.
  • Create display ads, email graphics, social media assets, printed literature, brochures, print ads, landing pages, and presentations.
  • Apply Design Thinking principles and user-centered design in the design process.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Brand, and Business.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in visual design, including typography, grid systems, color theory, and layout.
  • Experience in transitions, animation, motion design, and dynamic interactions.
  • Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, Sketch, and MS Office/PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts to communicate with software engineers and web developers.
  • Understanding of digital and litho printing processes, including file design and prep.
  • Experience working with corporate Brand guidelines and Design Systems.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the FinTech/Investment Management industry.

  • Appreciation for working on a creative team within a larger Marketing organization.
