The primary responsibilities of the Visual Media Videographer/Photographer will include capturing and editing still photographs and video content to support various Lockheed Martin products and sites. This role will involve photography assignments such as portraits, program milestone events, site events, award ceremonies, and other activities. Videography duties will encompass product documentation, event coverage, training videos, interviews, and content for presentations and social media. The candidate will also be responsible for pre-production tasks, including determining concepts, themes, and budgets based on client interactions. A strong working knowledge of non-linear video editing equipment and experience in a file-based video environment is essential. The candidate should possess a general understanding of camera applications, location lighting, and related audio equipment. Familiarity with live webcast video camera operation is a plus, as is experience with high megapixel professional still photographic equipment from brands like Nikon or Canon. Staying updated on emerging trends in video/photo equipment, editing software, and lighting and grip equipment is crucial. The role requires creativity, effective communication skills (both written and oral), and the ability to work efficiently with team members and customers. Selected applicants will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and edit still photographs and video content for various Lockheed Martin products and sites.
  • Conduct photography assignments including portraits, program milestone events, site events, and award ceremonies.
  • Perform videography duties such as product documentation, event coverage, training videos, and interviews.
  • Create videos for presentations and social media, including storytelling projects.
  • Manage pre-production tasks including concept determination, theme development, and budget planning based on client interactions.
  • Utilize non-linear video editing equipment and work within a file-based video environment.
  • Maintain a general knowledge of camera applications, location lighting, and related audio equipment.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in video/photo equipment, editing software, and lighting and grip equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers to fulfill artistic requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong conceptual photographic and video capabilities.
  • Experience in handling and managing photo/video editing at a high level.
  • Detailed working knowledge of non-linear video editing equipment.
  • General knowledge of camera applications and location lighting.
  • Experience with Nikon or Canon high megapixel professional still photographic equipment.
  • Ability to operate live webcast video cameras is a plus.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently with team members and customers.
