About The Position

The Visual Merchandiser at AKIRA is responsible for creating and maintaining visually appealing merchandise displays that align with company guidelines while driving sales. This role requires a keen eye for fashion and trends, as well as the ability to prioritize and execute merchandising tasks effectively within the store environment.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable about fashion and trends.
• Capable of working with various style preferences.
• Efficient and quick-paced when working independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of lifting at least 30 lbs.
• Willingness to work early mornings and/or late nights.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible and extended hours.
• Knows how to prioritize and delegate tasks.

• 1 year of visual merchandising experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Independently prioritize in-store merchandising tasks each day by assessing aesthetic needs and analyzing weekly selling data.
• Effectively execute all in-store merchandising tasks according to company guidelines, including floor layout adjustments, rack merchandising, and promotional displays.
• Communicate regularly with store management to ensure merchandising aligns with selling culture.
• Complete daily visual evaluations to assess the quality of store closes and summarize merchandising tasks completed.
• Ensure customers receive the AKIRA styling experience by connecting them to stylists when needed.
• Complete cleaning tasks when changing displays, such as dusting and adjusting lighting.
• Process shipment arrivals when present in the store.
• Assume the responsibility of manager on duty when one is not present.
