About the position
The Visual Merchandiser position is essential for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and sales performance of women's fashion and footwear retail stores. This role involves creating visually attractive displays and ensuring that merchandising standards are upheld across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual merchandising, particularly in upscale women's fashion, and will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining visual presentations that drive sales.
Responsibilities
- Plan, arrange, execute and maintain attractive, polished visual presentations in windows, on mannequins, shelves and displays throughout the stores, including at points of sale, and at any special events as needed.
- Move/set-up visual displays independently.
- Re-merchandise and replenish inventory on the sales floors.
- Coach store staff about presentation.
- Consult and communicate clearly with Buying Team, Store Teams and clients.
- Assist clients and team-members as needed.
- Help keep store inventory clean and display materials organized.
- Minimize security/safety risks.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in visual merchandising in upscale women's fashion, shoes, clothing, accessories, and/or handbags.
- Ability to effectively develop, communicate and execute cohesive, fashionable looks that drive sales in a timely manner.
- Ability and willingness to commute to various local stores and stay organized while doing so.
- Willingness to uphold company merchandising standards while clearly communicating with the Buying and Store Teams about merchandising processes, plans, execution and education.
- Ability to stand, lift, carry, climb, etc. and handle all significant tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Schooling in visual merchandising preferred.
