About the position
The Visual Merchandising Coordinator at Pure Hockey is responsible for enhancing the visual appeal of products and displays across 80 retail locations. This role involves project-based work aimed at attracting and engaging shoppers, driving sales, and increasing brand awareness through effective merchandising strategies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with business objectives.
- Manage multiple projects across multiple channels simultaneously.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to highlight key products and develop promotional strategies.
- Implement and execute new apparel fixture programs, providing feedback and follow-up support through store visits or photo collections.
- Assist with the setup of new apparel deliveries and seasonal feature tables, sharing photos and visuals with other locations.
- Support Retail Marketing and Buying teams with merchandising planning and communication to stores.
- Develop checklists and strengthen communication with stores to ensure consistency in merchandising and graphics.
- Review merchandising through photos, video, or in-person visits to ensure alignment with expectations.
- Lead daily check-ins with stores to review merchandising and signage, utilizing in-person visits, calls, or video calls.
- Meet with each retail store 2-3 times per year and follow up with the Area Manager on major tasks and feedback.
- Distribute weekly updates to include feature apparel, accessories, seasonal displays, and other essential updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail merchandising or related field
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
