About the position

The Visual Merchandising Designer at BMI Merchandise is responsible for creating and executing effective merchandise planning functions to produce high-quality planograms for redemption partners. This role involves understanding space planning standards within branded environments and incorporating company initiatives to optimize product placement and visual merchandising both in-house and in the field.

Responsibilities

• Create digital planograms and display layouts for client presentations.
• Analyze retail and market level data to develop schematics utilizing a planogram software platform.
• Create weekly planogram updates incorporating new merchandise across existing clients.
• Participate in various design projects from concept to completion, producing drafts, prototypes, and engaging design solutions.
• Work at a high level in a fast-paced environment with excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
• Create relevant product assortments and optimal space planning that drives sales across the business.
• Develop designs, including but not limited to fixtures, floorplan templates, and merchandise templates.
• Availability for limited travel related to on-site installation and training.

Requirements

• Planogram software experience is a plus.
• 3D Max, Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus.
• Experience in store planning and visual merchandising or retail design and knowledge of product placement at a retail level for 5+ years.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with team and key business partners.
• Strong organizational, communication, and retail merchandising skills.
• A keen eye for detail with the ability to execute company-wide design objectives at all levels.
• Professional attitude and demeanor with the ability to confidently articulate design strategies both written and verbally.
