About the position
The Sales Lead at White House Black Market is responsible for fostering a customer-focused sales culture while supporting management in achieving store operations goals. This role emphasizes creating a positive customer experience and maximizing profitability through effective team leadership and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and communicates clear expectations for the store team, holding them accountable for achieving brand standards.
- Performs and oversees operational activities such as opening and closing duties and merchandise flow processes.
- Supervises associates engaged in sales and inventory management, ensuring proper floor coverage and adherence to fiscal guidelines.
- Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions, presenting merchandise according to standards.
- Develops a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet sales and productivity goals.
- Trains and coaches the selling team on product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Models and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles to enhance customer experience.
- Builds and maintains a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
- Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns and a fast register experience.
- Supports and implements training programs for store associates, providing feedback for performance appraisals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
