About the position

As a Visual UI Designer on Amazon's AGI Alexa Information team, you will create innovative user interfaces for Alexa, our intelligent voice assistant. This role focuses on designing high-quality, dynamic user experiences that enhance customer interactions with AI technology across various devices. You will collaborate with a talented team to drive design solutions from concept to implementation, ensuring that the user experience is both intuitive and engaging.

Responsibilities

• Visualize experiences in the abstract and drive that vision into concise design deliverables.
• Foster a customer-focused design culture by sharing best practices and influencing product strategy.
• Use systems-level design thinking to drive scalable design solutions.
• Present design work to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
• Act as a tastemaker and visual storyteller, advocating for design excellence to create meaningful connections between customers and products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of design experience.
• 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch.
• An online portfolio demonstrating visual craft, storytelling, and design systems thinking.
• Strong understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography, and illustrations.
• Understanding of design thinking methodologies for user-centered outcomes.
• Commitment to visual craft and product excellence.
• Bias for action in developing new products from inception to launch.
• Experience working collaboratively with developers for design implementation.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience with mass-market consumer web/mobile products.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
