About the position

As a Visual UI Designer for Amazon's AGI Alexa Information team, you will be responsible for creating innovative user interfaces for Alexa, Amazon's intelligent voice assistant. This role involves collaborating with a talented team to design and deliver high-quality consumer experiences that leverage advanced AI technology. You will play a key role in shaping the future of AI interactions, ensuring that designs are user-centered and aesthetically pleasing across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Visualize experiences in the abstract and drive that vision into concise design deliverables.
• Foster a customer-focused design culture by sharing best practices and influencing product strategy.
• Use systems-level design thinking to drive scalable design solutions.
• Present design work to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
• Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that bridge the gap between advanced AI technology and everyday users.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive elegant design solutions from early concept through final implementation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of design experience.
• 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch.
• An online portfolio demonstrating visual craft, vision storytelling, and design systems thinking.
• Strong understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography, and illustrations.
• Understanding of design thinking methodologies to help teams align on user-centered outcomes.
• Deep commitment to visual craft and product excellence.
• Experience working in a collaborative team and directly with developers for implementation of designs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI models and machine learning.
• Experience in mass-market consumer web/mobile products.
