Re:Car dba SLATE is seeking an energetic and organized Visual Designer to join our growing team in the electric vehicle space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual design and will work collaboratively with a team of designers, product managers, marketing experts, and engineers. The primary focus of this role is to implement brand style across various platforms, including user interfaces, website design, and marketing communications. The Visual Designer will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and creating visual solutions to communication problems, ensuring that all design work aligns with organizational objectives and enhances the user experience. In this role, you will collaborate closely with design and marketing leadership to align visual expression with business goals. You will present your design solutions to internal teams and leadership, contextualizing your work within the framework of business and customer objectives. The position requires a strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in design principles, messaging hierarchy, typography, color theory, and layout techniques. You will also need to have experience in defining and maintaining design patterns and UI systems, as well as a thorough understanding of web design standards, best practices, and accessibility guidelines. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of design experience, with a preference for candidates with 6+ years. An Associate's degree or certificate in graphic design or a related field is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. You should be proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite, Office, and other design software and tools. Additionally, experience in delivering design solutions for large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders is essential.
