About the position

The Visualization and Augmented Analytics Engineer is responsible for researching, evaluating, designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and product solutions that leverage engineering principles. This role involves coordinating activities across multiple IT disciplines and vendors, focusing on both technical and non-technical issues related to computer systems, network infrastructure, and data integration. The engineer will act as a subject matter expert, contributing to complex initiatives and projects, and will develop strategies for data engineering, particularly in AI, ML, and NLP, to support business processes and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data analytics and visualizations to aid users in understanding complex data and making informed business decisions.
• Combine knowledge of member experience with data visualization to optimize analytical interfaces for better user adoption and decision-making.
• Establish standards and best practices for creating interactive data visualizations, dashboards, and insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
• Optimize data structure and representation for clarity and reusability, delivering actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends in data visualization to enhance visualizations continuously.
• Implement Augmented Analytics features in BI platforms to drive enterprise adoption and insight generation.
• Champion visualization and analytics solutions across business units, providing training and establishing best practices.
• Maximize the value of solutions by driving adoption and enhancing solution integrity through monitoring and support.
• Rebuild and migrate dashboards from legacy BI platforms to cloud-native solutions.
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of new analytics platform capabilities to meet business needs.
• Track performance monitoring, usage reporting, and license management for BI tools.
• Provide scalable solutions for large data volumes and complex reporting.
• Prepare high-quality project deliverables that are easily understood by stakeholders.
• Act as a technical SME to drive analytics and data projects using Agile methodology.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in data BI and Analytics.

Requirements

• Proven expertise with enterprise BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Experience with Augmented Analytics capabilities including Power BI Copilot and Tableau Pulse.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with UI/UX design principles for developing interactive visualizations.
• Experience in communicating data outcomes visually and through storytelling.
• Significant experience in delivering data analytics solutions to accelerate business decisions.
• Experience with Python, R, and SQL for Big Data Analytics.
• Experience in documenting BI standards and training end users.
• Experience working with Agile teams in cloud environments ensuring high availability and performance.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks ETL.
• Experience with Azure Synapse.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Analytical mindset to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with big data sets in Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Experience developing front-end applications using HTML, .Net, JS, and/or CSS.
• Experience with front-end design technologies for building creative widgets.
• Experience in DevOps and monitoring analytics.
• Knowledge of banking/financial industry trends.
