This position involves advising data stewards and department leads, reviewing operating processes, and defining functional requirements. The developer will provide architectural guidance on the analytics environment and analyze the implementation of major, complex integrated system projects. The role requires performing complex professional and advisory functions across both virtual and physical platforms to access information stored in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). The developer will generate a wide variety of dashboards and reports, including management and ad-hoc reports, to support decision-making processes. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Visualization Developer will work closely with project managers and business analysts, sometimes taking on the role of a business analyst. They may also architect visualization solutions and oversee the deployment of developed solutions. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to perform other duties as needed, ensuring that the organization's mission of teaching and healing is upheld through effective data management and visualization. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of experience in relevant fields such as healthcare, finance, IT, or analytics. Preferred qualifications include three years of experience in healthcare settings and familiarity with scripting languages and Business Intelligence tools. The role demands a strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, ETL tools, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advise data stewards and department leads on reporting methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Review operating processes and define functional requirements for analytics.
• Provide expert architectural guidance on the analytics environment.
• Analyze and implement major, complex integrated system projects.
• Perform complex professional and advisory functions for virtual and physical platforms to access information from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
• Generate a variety of dashboards and reports, including management and ad-hoc reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and business analysts, and occasionally act as a business analyst.
• Architect visualization solutions and oversee the deployment of developed solutions.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum two years of experience in healthcare, finance, IT, or analytics roles.
• Minimum three years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• Experience with scripting languages (T-SQL, PL-SQL, Visual Basic, Java, BASIC, etc.) and Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, Crystal Reports, SAP, etc.) preferred.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and Star Schema Data Modeling.
• Experience with Extract Transform and Load (ETL) tools.
• Strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with Agile project methodology and practices.
• Deep understanding of architecture disciplines, processes, concepts, and best practices.
• Excellent analytic, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of clinical and financial healthcare terminology.
• Firm understanding of Project management software and methodologies (PMP).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
