About the position

The National Associate Program Support Officer will be responsible for supporting project development, donor contract management, and reporting activities within the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Washington, DC. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with IOM procedures and donor requirements, as well as maintaining effective communication with donor counterparts. The position is a full-time, one-year contract with the possibility of extension, subject to funding confirmation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of results-based projects and programs, drafting concept notes and sections of project proposals.
  • Provide input for the development of new projects that respond to emerging trends and priorities related to U.S. resettlement.
  • Support donor contract management through coordinating administrative and budgetary aspects of projects.
  • Consolidate and analyze data on project implementation and indicators, drafting regular progress reports for donors and partners.
  • Maintain regular contact and effective working relations with donor counterparts, organizing and attending meetings and field site visits as needed.
  • Collaborate with the USRAP Oversight and Monitoring team in developing key project indicators.
  • Contribute to drafting talking points and briefing notes for various stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of project correspondence and related information on the IOM USRAP SharePoint platform.
  • Assist the Senior Change Management Advisor with related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Public Relations, Economics, Development Studies, International Relations, or a relevant discipline.
  • Two years of work experience in project design, development, and management for humanitarian and migration-related activities.
  • Experience in liaising with U.S. government agencies, particularly the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
  • Experience with project planning, scheduling, and resource deployment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in an international organization and knowledge of the UN.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
