About the position
The VoIP Support Engineer at SLAIT Consulting is responsible for providing advanced troubleshooting and support for Cisco enterprise Telephony infrastructure. This role involves working closely with team members and business stakeholders to ensure the effective operation of telephony systems across North America and Europe, contributing to the company's strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Cisco enterprise Telephony infrastructure at a 4th level support capacity.
- Create and update network documentation and conduct network assessments.
- Report results of network assessments to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to support company initiatives.
- Ensure high availability requirements are met for the Cisco environment.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience with Cisco Call Manager 8.x, 9.x, Unity Connections, and associated Voice Applications (UCCX, UCCE, ARC, AQM, CER).
- Knowledge and experience with CUBE services, QoS, Voice gateways, and Call Manager 7.X or above.
- Experience with SIP Trunking, both provider-based and internal.
- IP Telephony systems administration, configuration, and implementation experience.
- Thorough knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and multilayer switching infrastructure, focusing on Cisco technologies.
- CCNA Voice Certification is ideal, but a CCNA with voice work experience is also acceptable.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with UCC and Arc is a plus.
- Knowledge of Checkpoint and Cisco firewall configurations.
