About the position

The Vocational Case Manager I at CorVel Corporation provides vocational rehabilitation services and medical case management to individuals recovering from workplace injuries. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, insurers, physicians, and employers, to facilitate the client's return to gainful employment. The position requires evaluating clients' disabilities and determining suitable job goals based on their interests and physical limitations. This is a hybrid position based out of the Atlanta, GA office.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct appointments with clients, families, adjusters, medical providers, employers, attorneys, and vendors as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively via telephone and in writing.
  • Complete forms according to industry requirements and prepare organized reports within specified timeframes.
  • Document all case activity in client files.
  • Complete ongoing educational requirements as mandated by certifying entities.
  • Attend committee meetings and participate in customer service activities as needed.
  • Present instructional programs and administer vocational testing, reviewing results as necessary.
  • Perform on-site job analyses and provide expert testimony when required.
  • Oversee job-seeking skills workshops and conduct labor market research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field.
  • Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant (QRC) registration with the MN Department of Labor and Industry or ability to obtain it.
  • Ability to obtain CRC or CDMS Certification.
  • Knowledge of Managed Care or Workers' Compensation preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or another language preferred.
  • RN or OT certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managed care or workers' compensation environments.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish or other languages.
