About the position

The Voice Engineer position is a senior-level role focused on supporting and migrating traditional phone systems to Cisco cloud solutions. The role requires extensive experience with Cisco voice technologies, particularly in a healthcare environment, and emphasizes strong communication skills alongside technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Perform support and solutions for Cisco and VOIP related systems.
  • Support Cisco voice telephony systems for calling and back office business units.
  • Manage all aspects of the Cisco Webex Calling Dedicated Instance, including Communications Manager, IM & Presence, Unity Connection, Expressway, and Cisco Emergency Responder.
  • Integrate Cisco and third-party hospital and clinical systems with Cisco Webex Calling Dedicated Instance.
  • Configure and troubleshoot using Cisco Webex Control Hub, including monitoring Cisco UC applications.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in Cisco technologies such as Cisco UC Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco Emergency Responder.
  • Five or more years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, and developing Cisco Communications and networking technologies.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager/Call Manager and Cisco Expressway for Mobile Remote Access.
  • Knowledge of protocols & technologies such as H323, SIP, RTP, PRI, and others related to voice traffic.
  • CCNA certification or higher required, with specialization in Voice or Collaboration preferred.
