The Voluntary Milking System (VMS) Technical Support Specialist role at Delaval Inc. involves providing technical support and training to dealership technicians on robotic milking systems. Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to dealership technicians on VMS robotic milking systems.
• Train dealer technicians on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VMS systems.
• Mentor dealership technicians in their roles.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level troubleshooting support via the VMS Helpdesk.
• Test new software releases for compatibility with existing systems.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Train dealer technicians on accessing and using technical documentation and training materials.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a VMS Technician or Maintenance Technician in the dairy industry, or a related field.
• Experience providing remote technical assistance in the dairy industry.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, and lubrication systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electronics on Linux-based operating systems using Putty.
• Knowledge of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) between Linux and Windows systems using Filezilla.
• Experience troubleshooting SQL databases.
• Familiarity with dairy cow milking processes and procedures.
• Ability to graph pulsators and troubleshoot pulsation systems.
