As Vice President of Accounting & Finance at Sasser, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial management strategy of the Business Unit while contributing to the overall strategic goals of the organization. Reporting directly to the Business Unit President and the Chief Financial Officer, you will be an integral member of the senior management team. Your responsibilities will encompass the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring that all accounting and financial reporting activities are conducted with the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. You will lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives, process improvement efforts, and audits, while also managing financial risks associated with the business operations. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to the Business Unit leadership team, participating in significant discussions that set business priorities and drive informed decision-making. You will be responsible for identifying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and analyzing financial operating data to uncover trends and themes that can inform strategic planning. Your insights will be crucial in identifying opportunities for profitability improvement and in supporting the Business Unit's strategic planning activities. You will oversee all finance and accounting activities for the Business Unit, including managing the Director of Accounting and other finance personnel. Your focus will be on continuous process improvement to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Accounting department. You will also collaborate with IT to enhance finance and accounting software systems, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the organization. Additionally, you will work closely with the Corporate Director of Tax to manage tax accounting functions and represent the Business Unit during tax audits. Your role will require a hands-on approach, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and financial reporting. You will be expected to develop meaningful financial analyses that compare actual results to budgeted figures, track cash flow, and prepare reports that highlight variances and compliance issues. This position is not only about managing numbers but also about leading a high-performing team and fostering a culture of accountability and integrity within the finance function.
