About the position

The VP Acquisition & Content Leader at Synchrony Consumer Bank is a strategic leadership role focused on driving consumer acquisition initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and managing the acquisition strategy, overseeing digital marketing efforts, and optimizing various channels to enhance customer engagement and deposit growth. The role requires a blend of innovative thinking and hands-on management to ensure effective execution of marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the development and execution of acquisition strategies for the Consumer Bank through traditional and digital campaigns.
  • Drive performance of acquisition campaigns by leveraging data and testing new marketing techniques.
  • Create forecasts and develop budget plans for media campaigns.
  • Oversee a team of digital acquisition strategists and manage day-to-day operations with the internal paid media team.
  • Manage the Consumer Bank advertising budget, including vendor management and purchase orders.
  • Develop new capabilities and processes to drive account and deposit growth through new channels.
  • Collaborate with the Digital COE to enhance personalization and user experience using marketing tools.
  • Partner with analytics and finance teams to establish key metrics for marketing campaign success.
  • Deliver presentations showcasing results, successes, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Build and implement a 3-Year Strategy for Bank Acquisitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or a high school diploma with 12+ years of marketing experience focused on driving growth in digital channels.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of marketing experience, including 5+ years in user acquisition in digital channels.
  • 5+ years of expertise in SEM, social media, programmatic, video, affiliate, and other key marketing channels.
  • 4+ years of experience innovating channel acquisition programs and optimizing ROI based on data and KPIs.
  • 3+ years of digital marketing project management experience.
  • Leadership experience with direct reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital marketing technology tools such as Google Marketing Platform, Google Analytics, and Adobe Analytics.
  • Relevant experience working with global agencies and major ad platforms like Google, Meta, and Amazon.
  • Knowledge of banking and deposit accounts.
