About the position

The VP Acquisition & Content Leader at Synchrony Consumer Bank is a strategic leadership role focused on driving consumer acquisition initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and managing the acquisition strategy, overseeing digital marketing efforts, and optimizing various channels to enhance customer engagement and deposit growth. The role requires a blend of innovative thinking and hands-on management to ensure effective execution of marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the development and execution of all acquisition strategies for the Consumer Bank through traditional and digital campaigns.
  • Drive performance of acquisition campaigns by leveraging data and testing new marketing techniques.
  • Create and review forecasts; develop budget plans and recommendations for media campaigns.
  • Lead a team of digital acquisition strategists responsible for day-to-day operations with Synchrony's internal paid media team.
  • Manage the entire Consumer Bank advertising budget, including setting up POs and managing vendors.
  • Develop new capabilities and processes to drive new account and deposit balances via new channels.
  • Partner with the Digital COE to leverage marketing tools for increased personalization and improved user experiences.
  • Collaborate with analytics and finance teams to create multi-channel attribution and establish key metrics for success.
  • Deliver presentations showcasing results against goals and recommend action plans for continual improvement.
  • Build and deliver against the Bank Acquisitions 3-Year Strategy to improve data use and growth efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or a high school diploma with 12+ years of marketing experience focused on driving growth in digital channels.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of marketing experience, including 5+ years focused on user acquisition in digital channels.
  • 5+ years of expertise in SEM, social media, programmatic, video, affiliate, and other key marketing channels.
  • 4+ years of experience innovating channel acquisition programs and optimizing ROI based on data and KPI feedback.
  • 3+ years of digital marketing project management experience.
  • Leadership experience with direct reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital marketing technology tools and measurement systems such as Google Marketing Platform and Adobe Analytics.
  • Relevant experience working with global agencies and major ad platforms like Google, Meta, and Amazon.
  • Knowledge of Banking and Deposit accounts.
