About the position

The VP, Active Trader Financial Consultant at Charles Schwab is responsible for growing an affluent wealth management practice by assisting clients with their financial needs through a consultative, goal-based approach. This role involves providing investment strategies, trading tools, and planning-based wealth management services to clients who prefer virtual interactions. The consultant will develop and execute a business plan to generate new clients while deepening existing relationships, ultimately contributing to the firm's growth and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Practice a consultative, goal-based wealth management approach to assess and find appropriate solutions for clients' needs.
  • Utilize expertise in the securities industry to analyze clients' investment objectives and provide tailored investment advice.
  • Increase branch/brand awareness by soliciting referrals and leveraging relationships with centers of influence.
  • Execute a consistent client relationship management process to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Engage with clients to build trust and improve client promoter scores and feedback.
  • Use existing resources to deepen and retain client relationships.
  • Build relationships with key business partners and connect with others across the firm to enhance client experience.

Requirements

  • Active and valid FINRA Series 7 license required.
  • Active and valid FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license and Life & Health Insurance required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starter mentality.
  • Polished and persuasive interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and utilize various data and systems.
  • Open to ongoing coaching and development for positive client outcomes.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to balance competing priorities.
