About the position

The Vice President of Analytics & Data (A&D) for the Digital Marketing & Acquisition Analytics Team at Morgan Stanley will lead efforts in digital marketing analytics, focusing on E*TRADE account opening and onboarding processes. This role involves collaborating with various teams to analyze customer journeys, optimize marketing funnels, and provide actionable insights to enhance the customer experience. The position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an offshore team of digital marketing analytics professionals (3)
  • Collaborate with business partners to define and achieve strategic outcomes, translating business problems into team deliverables.
  • Drive investigation, measurement, and reporting on the account opening funnel to provide actionable insights for optimizing funnel investments.
  • Analyze account funnel data to understand digital client journeys and profiles, making recommendations to enhance digital channel usage.
  • Develop SQL queries to build robust reporting and insights, understanding conversion/assets driven by the account opening funnel.
  • Promote a culture of disciplined Test & Learn.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Data or Analytics role, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Experience or knowledge in web analytics suites like Adobe Analytics/Heap and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with SQL across various versions (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc). Experience with Python preferred.
  • Ability to identify and blend multiple disparate data sources using ETL or other processes.
  • Experience translating business workflows into technical and analytics requirements.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong sense of accountability/ownership and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience managing offshore resources.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and customer acquisition metrics.
