About the position

The Lead Asset Manager at SitusAMC is responsible for the overall management of a client's portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact for all portfolio management activities. This role involves overseeing multiple servicers and strategic portfolio initiatives, ensuring that client objectives are met through effective asset strategy deployment. The Lead Asset Manager will coordinate with various teams to define asset-level strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, while also focusing on enhancing performance and quality within the Asset Management Team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all portfolio management and servicing oversight.
  • Oversee multiple servicers, trusts, and strategic portfolio initiatives simultaneously.
  • Coordinate servicing transfers and operational reviews.
  • Perform remittance and data reconciliation.
  • Render workout decisions and identify servicing performance irregularities.
  • Drive enhanced performance by the client's servicer.
  • Collaborate with diligence and collateral services teams to define asset-level strategies post-settlement.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, including reviews of loan documentation and reporting.
  • Assess compliance with GSE and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop portfolio campaign strategies and customized reporting.
  • Manage project functions and ensure overall quality and performance of the Asset Management Team.

Requirements

  • College degree or training in finance/mortgage banking preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience, with at least 2+ years in an AVP level role or equivalent.
  • Commercial real estate asset management experience is required.
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical ability and good judgment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrated professional behavior and teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mortgage/secondary market preferred.
  • Ability to work well with staff and clients.
