About the position

The VP, B2B Digital Program Manager at Synchrony is a leadership role within the B2B Digital Products Team, responsible for driving business objectives related to the Business Center, Provider Center, and Transact platforms. This position involves leading Agile teams to deliver new features and enhance experiences for merchants, providers, and consumers. The ideal candidate will be a strategist and communicator, capable of identifying opportunities for platform expansion and ensuring alignment across various teams to achieve profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, mentor, and develop a team of highly motivated and skilled Product Owners.
  • Partner with the Product Management team to develop and implement new digital platform features and capabilities.
  • Consult with cross-functional groups, clients, and outside partners to ensure alignment and resource optimization.
  • Manage and prioritize the flow of work, coordinating multiple teams using the Scaled Agile framework.
  • Co-lead Agile Program Increment (PI) planning sessions to define delivery commitments and align on release schedules.
  • Measure the train's performance against OKRs/KPIs and communicate its status to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the RTE and dependent teams to ensure clear priorities and impact to backlog items.
  • Facilitate process and documentation of features aligned to Large Solution epics/capabilities.
  • Coordinate with Analytics to develop, monitor, and report on key metrics/KPIs.
  • Participate in regular updates and governance reviews to ensure adherence to process rigor and key standards.
  • Lead and facilitate PO Syncs to ensure alignment on product features across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or a high school diploma with 9+ years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries.
  • 5+ years of marketing/project management experience, including 3+ years managing people and teams.
  • Proven track record of launching new products or applications with demonstrated business impact.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum or the SAFe framework.
  • Outstanding communication, relationship building, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement actionable plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years in financial services or other highly regulated industry.
  • 3+ years in Digital and/or Product Management experience.
  • Strong background working with clients, reporting on performance and delivering results.
  • Current on financial services, payments industry trends, competitors, emerging technologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Agile/SAFe Product Owner or Product Manager Certification.
