About the position

The VP of Business Development for Retirement and Workplace at Broadridge is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies that align with the company's growth objectives in the retirement sector. This role involves market analysis, partnership development, driving sales growth, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective execution of initiatives. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to present strategies to C-suite executives and represent the company at industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies that align with the company's growth objectives in the retirement sector.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform business development strategies.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key partners, including retirement communities, healthcare providers, financial advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and developing tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Represent Broadridge at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and establish industry connections.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on business development progress, including forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the retirement, healthcare, or financial services sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the retirement industry, including its challenges and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing industry landscapes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools.
