About the position

The Vice President of Fed Civilian Growth at Serco North America is responsible for driving new business development within the US Federal Civilian market. This senior-level position focuses on pursuing large and complex opportunities, leveraging a strong background in managed services and business process outsourcing. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure successful bid activities and the growth of the business unit's sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth of the Business Unit's new business and re-compete sales pipeline in the non-defense US Federal Government and selected state and local governments.
  • Utilize domain expertise and an established professional network to support business development targets.
  • Identify, research, evaluate, and qualify new opportunities for inclusion in the Business pipeline.
  • Participate in proposal strategy, development, writing, and review sessions.
  • Maintain opportunity status and reporting in pipeline management and document management tools.
  • Manage the Business Development Team, BD B&P budgets, and resourcing of business development pursuits.
  • Collaborate with BU and central BD teams on process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Manage and report on BD goals and performance metrics across business leadership and to the executive team.
  • Engage in industry events and conferences for market and opportunity assessment.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal procurement lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience in business development.
  • Experience in managed services, solutions, and/or BPO preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing sales/acquisition strategies for medium and large contracts ($100M - $1B).
  • Experience delivering the full life cycle of business development activities, including market analysis, accounts planning, account management, partner/team strategies, opportunity identification and qualification, and overall pipeline management.
  • Proficiency in Govwin, SAM.gov, Microsoft CRM (or similar), SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and effective interpersonal skills.
