About the position

Cubic Corporation is seeking a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead technological advancement and digital transformation initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CIO will shape Cubic's future in defense and transportation technology, driving innovation and operational efficiency while delivering substantial business value through strategic IT initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to navigate industry challenges and capitalize on technology-driven opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports Cubic's growth objectives.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives across all business units, focusing on operational efficiencies and technological innovation.
• Collaborate with C-suite executives to leverage emerging technologies for new product development and market expansion.
• Lead IT governance, risk management, and compliance efforts in line with defense and government contracting requirements.
• Oversee the evolution of Cubic's technology stack, ensuring alignment with industry-leading practices.
• Strengthen cybersecurity capabilities across enterprise systems and products, focusing on defense-grade security standards.
• Spearhead the adoption of AI, machine learning, and advanced data analytics to enhance product offerings and operations.
• Establish an enterprise-wide data strategy and architecture.
• Manage a substantial IT budget, balancing innovation investments with cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate closely with business unit leaders to ensure IT capabilities support and enhance Cubic's offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with significant exposure to defense or high-tech industries.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives in complex, global organizations.
• Deep understanding of C5ISR technologies and their applications in defense and commercial sectors.
• Strong background in cybersecurity, particularly in contexts relevant to government and defense contracting.
