About the position

The Vice President, Chief Technology Officer at Canal Insurance is responsible for leading the company's technology strategy and execution. This role ensures that the enterprise technology platform aligns with the organization's strategic objectives and is adaptable for future needs. The CTO will oversee IT applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management, while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the IT team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate the company's technology strategy to align with business goals and objectives.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of scalable and secure IT applications and infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the organization's cyber security program.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential to enhance organization efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee the continued development and implementation of data management strategies to ensure data quality, accessibility, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, Graduate level degree preferred.
• Minimum of ten years in a senior technology leadership role required.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity frameworks, enterprise applications, and IT governance practices required.
• Expertise in leveraging data analytics to generate actionable insights and drive informed decision making required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders required.
• In-depth knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies required.
