About the position
The Commercial Banker (CB) is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial banking clients in the Pittsburgh market. This role involves client engagement, financial statement collection, underwriting, and revenue generation through new client acquisition and relationship management. The CB is expected to uphold the bank's core values and act as a primary representative for their book of business while identifying and managing various risks.
Responsibilities
- Manage an existing portfolio and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Grow the portfolio's revenue base through new client generation and marketing efforts.
- Assist in the collection of financial statements and participate in credit underwriting processes.
- Engage actively with clients to facilitate deal management and pipeline conversion.
- Cultivate an external network of Centers of Influence (COIs) and potential referral sources.
- Drive new revenue opportunities as a Commercial Banker.
- Embrace a disciplined sales process and maintain a routine of cold calling.
- Expand non-interest income through enhanced treasury products and fee revenue generation.
- Participate in Leadership Washington and other leadership initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Previous commercial banking experience.
- Strong clerical skills and good communication skills.
