About the position
The Commercial Banker will manage an existing portfolio while focusing on revenue growth through client generation and relationship building. This role involves underwriting, financial statement collection, and active participation in credit committees. The Commercial Banker is expected to cultivate a network of referral sources and drive new revenue opportunities, embodying the values of Community Bank in their professional conduct.
Responsibilities
- Manage an existing portfolio and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Grow the portfolio's revenue base through new client generation and marketing efforts.
- Assist in the collection of financial statements and underwriting processes.
- Participate in credit committee meetings and present cases actively.
- Cultivate an external network of Centers of Influence (COIs) and potential referral sources.
- Drive new revenue as a Commercial Banker by embracing relationship banking and insightful selling.
- Expand non-interest income through enhanced treasury products and fee revenue generation.
- Embrace a disciplined sales process and maintain a cold calling routine.
- Act as a leader within the organization and participate in community initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Previous commercial banking experience.
- Strong clerical skills and good communication abilities.
