About the position

We are partnering with a private equity backed, multi-site healthcare organization looking to add a VP, Corporate Finance to their team. The position will oversee decision support, operational finance and corporate financial planning and analysis. Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Corporate Finance will play a strategic role for forecasting, business planning, management reporting, and business analytics activities. A hands-on yet strategic leader who can oversee the tools and processes to help us scale for the future, will thrive in this environment. The appropriate candidate will also bring a strong analytical toolset with an eye toward use of technology, and proven experience managing the corporate finance activities of a high growth, complex company. The next evolution of the role is to foster a culture of transparency and accountability for driving profitable growth and ensure that finance is a value-added business partner. The candidate will be a thought leader and have the potential to ascend within the organization. As the FP&A Lead, you will spearhead a team responsible for the creation and management of annual and long-term financial plans, forecasts, and monthly reports. You will oversee ad hoc analyses, executive-level reporting for C-suite members, and Board of Directors updates. Your role will include managing the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and various financial and operational metrics reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance an FP&A infrastructure that translates both company-specific and industry data into strategic insights to inform business decisions.
  • Construct and maintain financial models across different departments, including Clinical Operations, Revenue Cycle, Marketing, Information Technology, and Growth.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the finance function, focusing on innovation in reporting, planning, and analysis through automation.
  • Oversee and participate in the analysis of operating results, preparation of executive reports, review of financing activities, and evaluation of financial impacts of various initiatives.
  • Provide clear and impactful insights based on the company's operating results.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic corporate matters, business development initiatives, and special projects.
  • Cultivate and manage a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Oversee supervisory functions, including managing workflows, creating schedules, and delegating tasks to meet business goals, deadlines, and standards.
  • Handle recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of team members.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive professional experience with increasing responsibility, scope, and leadership across multiple FP&A functions.
  • Comprehensive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, with a mix of medium and large organizations, enhancing support capabilities (predictive modeling, analytics, etc.).
  • Proven track record in building and driving automation to enhance analysis and speed to insights.
  • Strong professional and educational background, including a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a quantitative field.
  • Experience with BI tools (Adaptive Insights, Alteryx) and/or SQL, including implementation experience.
