About the position

The VP - Corporate Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing the overall credit quality, risk mitigation, workout process, and operational/regulatory compliance associated with Corporate Banking. This includes overseeing business areas such as Securitization Warehouse Facility, Accounts Receivable Trade Securitization, and Receivables Purchase Program. The role involves analyzing and structuring financial covenants, underwriting corporate credit risks for clients utilizing AFG securitization loan facilities, and collaborating with Truist clients, AFG Originations, and Coverage Bankers to ensure effective underwriting and ongoing portfolio management. The VP will actively engage with various functional groups to help Truist achieve its revenue, PPNR, credit quality, and other financial objectives. The essential duties include managing and mitigating credit risk of portfolio transactions, completing timely and accurate annual reviews, maintaining credit files, and ensuring compliance with Truist policies and regulatory requirements. The VP will also be responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing a team of top credit professionals, restructuring or resolving troubled credits with input from risk partners, and managing corporate credit, operational, and market risk within pre-approved risk tolerance levels. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with originations, structuring, legal, compliance, and risk partners to align strategic objectives and facilitate seamless execution while demonstrating Truist's culture and values.

Responsibilities

  • Manage/mitigate credit risk of portfolio transactions.
  • Complete on-time, accurate, well-articulated annual reviews, amendment memos, trend cards, and CLAR's; maintain MRA quarterly spreads/PRISM grade reviews; maintain credit files and other compliance requirements.
  • Attract, retain and develop a team of top credit professionals.
  • Understand and adhere to various Truist policies, processes, procedures and regulatory requirements; ensure policies and controls are executed; timely completion of all required Corporate and Business unit training/testing.
  • Restructure or resolve troubled (workout) credits with input from risk partners.
  • Manage corporate credit, operational and market risk within pre-approved risk tolerance levels.
  • Work with originations, structuring, legal, compliance and risk partners to align strategic objectives, share market knowledge, and facilitate seamless execution.
  • Demonstrate Truist culture and values.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • Licenses: Series 79 and 63
  • 7-11 years of related work experience
  • Strong technical skills, including financial analysis and modeling
  • Demonstrated analytical skills - ability to distill complex data into concise and relevant issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas to facilitate execution.
