About the position

Assembly Media Inc., a subsidiary of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, Inc., is seeking a Vice President (VP) Creative Director to lead and inspire the Assembly team. This role is pivotal in creating engaging and impactful content that resonates with audiences and sparks conversations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader who can blend creativity with strategic thinking, ensuring that both client and agency objectives are met. You will be responsible for guiding the creative process from conception to execution, fostering a collaborative environment where innovative ideas can flourish. Your leadership will be crucial in building a team of talented creatives, including art directors, copy editors, and designers, to produce work that not only meets but exceeds expectations. In this position, you will develop and deliver creative concepts that are insightful and aligned with the brand's identity. You will work closely with account teams, planners, and strategists to ensure that the visual and verbal expressions of brand-building ideas are compelling and effective. Your role will involve recognizing and nurturing great ideas, pushing them forward, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will also be expected to maintain a high level of quality in all deliverables, while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about creativity but also possesses a strong understanding of the business side of client relationships. You will need to anticipate business challenges and provide solutions that leverage your deep industry knowledge. Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver creative concepts and ideas across all platforms for briefs and new business pitches.
  • Deliver fresh thinking and innovative creative solutions and relevant, motivating campaigns and platforms.
  • Understand client's brand and category to develop work that is consistent with the brand's personality.
  • Recognize and develop great ideas, pushing them forward as the cohesive team lead of art directors, copy editors, and designers.
  • Work hand-in-hand with senior account lead to see projects from ideas to activation, ensuring high quality within timeframe and budget.
  • Direct the visual/verbal expression of brand building ideas to drive media coverage, buzz, and brand.

Requirements

  • At least 8-12 years of creative agency experience (some in-house is acceptable).
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
