About the position

LPL Financial is seeking a Creative Director to lead the Brand & Creative Marketing team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the entire creative process, managing a talented team of writers and designers, and infusing inspiration and creativity into the LPL Brand. As the most senior creative leader at LPL, the Creative Director will ensure brand integrity across all marketing initiatives and communications. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for insight-driven creative work, tracking industry trends, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and creativity. In this role, the Creative Director will develop a high-performing team of creative talent skilled in creating impactful multimedia content. They will provide hands-on guidance to motivate the team and ensure the delivery of exceptional work. The Creative Director will act as a steward for the brand personality, positioning, and visual expression, managing the development of work across various mediums including print, digital, animation, and photography. Collaboration is key, as the Creative Director will partner with all marketing functions to create cohesive work that resonates across earned and owned channels. Additionally, the Creative Director will work closely with a creative project manager to ensure effective capacity planning and alignment of talent on projects. They will also be responsible for anticipating industry trends and exploring innovative ways to leverage AI and resource outsourcing to optimize team resources. Responsibilities

• Develop a high-performing team of creative talent skilled at concepting and creating impactful multimedia content.
• Provide hands-on guidance to encourage and motivate the team to deliver great work.
• Deliver creative work that brings the brand personality to life with a high level of thought and polish.
• Manage the development of work across print, digital, animation, illustration, photography, and conference activation.
• Partner with all marketing functions to create work that lives across earned and owned channels.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, subject-matter experts, writers, content creators, graphic designers, and videographers to tell impactful brand stories.
• Work closely with a creative project manager to ensure capacity planning and align the right talent on the right projects.
• Anticipate industry trends and keep the work fresh and relevant.
• Explore ways to leverage AI and resource outsourcing to ensure optimization of team resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in a hands-on and/or design/writing leadership position.
• 4+ years leading and motivating a creative team.
• Excellent understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects.
• Experience working with Canva.
