The Citi Private Bank (CPB) Data Steward will play a crucial role in overseeing the management and integrity of data throughout its lifecycle. This position focuses on improving siloed approaches to data, aligning with the overarching goals of the Enterprise, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and legal standards. The Data Steward will have decision-making authority regarding governance and oversight of CPB data, ensuring its integrity, reliability, timeliness, and accuracy to support business and IT data management processes. This role is essential in maintaining a robust data governance framework, which includes policies, standards, processes, and technology necessary for managing the availability, accessibility, quality, consistency, auditability, and security of data produced and consumed by CPB. The Data Steward will collaborate closely with business process owners, accountability points in business and operations, and data custodians in IT to ensure adherence to corporate, ICG, and CPB data governance processes across various subject areas and domains. The candidate will be responsible for acting as a point of accountability for data content and quality, managing change processes related to data models and sourcing/distribution channels. Additionally, the Data Steward will ensure compliance with global and local regulatory requirements concerning data privacy and security, particularly in highly regulated industries such as financial services and healthcare. As part of a large, geographically distributed team, the Data Steward will manage stakeholders across multiple functional areas, requiring strong analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate complex information from various sources. This position demands leadership in championing data governance, influencing change, overseeing data quality improvements, and facilitating cross-organizational collaboration to break down data silos and enhance data sharing and integration.
