About the position

The VP, Digital Platform Product Manager is responsible for driving the product strategy and management of the Digital Banking platform at Technology Credit Union (Tech CU). This role involves detailed analysis, requirements gathering, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance digital banking features across online and mobile channels, ultimately adding value for members.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert on Digital Banking products and critical integrations.
  • Assists the Head of Digital and stakeholders with new product delivery and enhancements.
  • Serves as a product owner in areas including online and mobile banking, digital account opening, and card management.
  • Develops the product vision in collaboration with the Digital product leadership team.
  • Manages critical integrations in the digital banking platform, including core banking integrations.
  • Analyzes product offerings in light of changing demographics and trends, identifying competitive gaps and marketing opportunities.
  • Collaborates to develop insights around features, design, process improvements, and risk assessment.
  • Identifies areas for operational efficiencies and streamlined processes for digital banking products.
  • Analyzes member usage data and defines migration plans accordingly.
  • Curates data insights to drive decision-making and inform marketing initiatives.
  • Documents user stories for the development team.
  • Works with UX designers and Marketing to develop design concepts for improved member experience.
  • Collaborates with digital product owner and development teams to commit backlog items to sprint deliverables.
  • Proactively collaborates with cross-functional team members to solicit feedback and buy-in.
  • Manages relationships with 3rd party vendors.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of Digital Banking product experience, including knowledge of core banking systems.
  • 3+ years of technical product management and/or business systems analysis experience in financial services.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile software development.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence preferred.
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools preferred.
  • Strong client focus with an ability to think from the client perspective.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with familiarity in consumer & business banking and data analysis.
  • Ability to document processes, write user stories, and identify root causes of user frustration.
  • Highly adaptive and open to changes as the organization evolves.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred.
