About the position

This position is accountable for the strategy, execution, and delivery of digital business products at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. The successful candidate will leverage modern technology to develop market-leading solutions that drive growth, profitability, and enhance customer experiences. This hands-on role involves leading a large business-infused technology organization to create new products and services, implement technology transformations, and cultivate relationships with business partners as a strategic advisor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Bus-Tech Fusion, a large business-infused technology organization in creating new products, services, and experiences.
  • Reimagine and reinvent technical and data solutions for the enterprise to enable efficiency, growth, and stronger customer experiences.
  • Drive the technology transformation to a product model.
  • Implement strategies for adopting digital information and advanced technologies.
  • Lead key initiatives to leverage optimization in support of business objectives.
  • Implement modern architecture and development standards, including a strong enterprise architecture function.
  • Achieve positive returns on technology investments based on fact-based metrics.
  • Cultivate relationships and influence business partners as a strategic advisor.
  • Empower innovation of transformation opportunities utilizing new approaches and tools.
  • Set direction and lead teams including Cloud Technologies, Data Solutions, and Product Development, fostering a growth mindset within the team.
  • Drive understanding of how digital technologies create value in the enterprise.
  • Drive innovative thinking, organizational transformation, and modern approaches.
  • Develop standardized metrics for annual analysis and refinement of optimal utilization, performance, and expense.
  • Develop a strong team development culture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related professional experience.
  • 7+ years of management leading related experience.
  • Deep experience in digital transformation development and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in data solutions and engineering.
  • Extensive experience in multi-level team leadership, personal development, and talent management.
  • Experience with vendor management and driving successful outcomes from vendor partners.
  • Deep levels of experience in digital platforms and digital product development.
  • Proven experience in creating and successfully implementing new teams and disciplines.
  • Leadership experience with both large enterprises and small and/or startups.
  • Strong collaborator and influencer who strengthens relationships and aligns objectives with the business.
  • Ability to think strategically, financially, analytically, creatively, and tactically.
  • Proven leader with experience attracting, building, coaching, and developing a high-performing team.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organization levels.
  • Excellent oral communication skills under pressure.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data for results-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communicator who can express ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to leverage emotional intelligence to adapt style and content to the audience.
