About the position

We are in search of a VP/Director of Finance to take on a strategic role in our organization. The position is based in YORK, Pennsylvania, and will involve providing financial direction and vision, driving performance through a deep understanding of business operations, and managing various financial functions. The role will also involve responsibility for the organization's IT function and contributing to the formulation of long-term business strategies. This position is critical in shaping the financial landscape of the organization and ensuring that all financial operations align with the overall business strategy. The VP/Director of Finance will drive financial performance through a deep understanding of business operations and oversee the financial stewardship of all business assets. This includes ensuring timely delivery of complete and accurate financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts in compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will manage the financial, accounting, tax, insurance, auditing, credit, risk assessment, and related functions of the organization. Additionally, the role requires overseeing the Information Technology function to ensure that critical priorities are met to drive efficient operations. The position will also involve providing analysis, interpretation, and decision-support to the executive team, engaging in short and long-term planning, and leading the successful execution of related initiatives to contribute to the achievement of the organization's strategic direction. The VP/Director of Finance will shape longer-term strategies related to the business and use strategic financial planning, US GAAP, financial analysis & reporting, and internal controls to drive business success. Furthermore, the role includes developing and implementing continuous improvement and benchmarking processes, procedures, policies, and best practices, including leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Drive financial performance through a deep understanding of business operations
  • Oversee the financial stewardship of all business assets
  • Ensure timely delivery of complete and accurate financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage the financial, accounting, tax, insurance, auditing, credit, risk assessment, and related functions of the organization
  • Oversee the Information Technology function and ensure critical priorities are met to drive efficient operations
  • Provide analysis, interpretation, and decision-support to the executive team
  • Engage in short and long-term planning and lead the successful execution of related initiatives to contribute to the achievement of the organization's strategic direction

Requirements

  • Must possess a deep understanding of CapEx (Capital Expenditure) operations and management
  • Proven experience in overseeing and managing all accounting functions
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing budget processes
  • Proficiency in cash flow analysis and providing financial insights
  • Extensive experience in conducting month-end close processes
  • Ability to prepare and analyze monthly balance sheets
  • Solid understanding of Profit & Loss (P& L) calculation and financial forecasting
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record in a similar senior finance role
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required
  • Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is preferred
  • Proficiency in financial software and databases
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with confidential information
