In this role, the Group Creative Director is expected to inspire teams to deliver original, compelling, and strategically sound creative solutions that build strong brands. They will bring their well-established skills as a Creative Director to a broader client base, acting as a thought leader within and beyond the agency. This includes pursuing opportunities for industry recognition, such as award judging, writing articles, and participating in events. The Group Creative Director will also engage in open and collaborative discussions with executive-level members to ensure that the business is managed effectively, the work produced is of the highest quality, and the team remains motivated and rewarded for their efforts. The position requires a balance of creative vision and business acumen, ensuring that budgets and timelines align with both creative aspirations and client needs. The Group Creative Director will anticipate staffing requirements and work closely with the Director of Creative Resources to allocate resources efficiently, while also collaborating with Account Services, Operations, and Planning to identify and address both short and long-term opportunities and risks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire teams to deliver original and compelling creative solutions that build strong brands.
  • Manage multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously while ensuring high-quality output.
  • Communicate and sell creative ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Balance creative requirements with client needs, ensuring budgets and timelines are met.
  • Anticipate staffing needs and collaborate with the Director of Creative Resources for resource allocation.
  • Work with Executive Creative Directors and Chief Creative Officers to appropriately staff projects.
  • Proactively resolve conflicts among team members and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Volunteer to lead new business efforts and engage the right stakeholders for success.
  • Collaborate with Account Services, Operations, and Planning to identify and solve operational opportunities and risks.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a Creative Director in the Healthcare Advertising space.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively sell ideas and concepts.
  • Experience in managing budgets and timelines while balancing creative and client needs.
  • Ability to anticipate staffing needs and work collaboratively with resource management.
  • Proactive in conflict resolution and fostering teamwork.
  • Experience in leading new business efforts and engaging necessary stakeholders.
